Amazon Prime Day is tomorrow and we're definitely stocking up on some of our favorite items. As a business owner in the food space I'm always searching for the best deals on some of the more obscure items we inventory. Our slim profit margins coupled with our unique menu offerings mean that sometimes, we can't find what we need from our regular food purveyors or restaurant supply stores. In addition to that, the quality we get from these bigger suppliers doesn't always line up and we have to look elsewhere. Needless to say, I am forever sourcing different products and ingredients, and over the years, I've compiled a nice list of my favorite pantry items that I now regularly buy on Amazon.
Here are 5 of our favorite deals that I'll be taking advantage of tomorrow!
This Frontier Co-Op Saffron because if saffron's on sale, we're buying the saffron!! You can add it to your favorite rice dish, use it on fish, marinate your chicken, make an aioli or a sauce, or just keep it in your spice drawer to feel a little fancy.
This organic Star Anise that's 34% off and an insane deall! Not only is it delicious in your favorite Middle Eastern dishes, it also has a stack of health benefits and is regularly made into a tea to treat mild gastrointestinal/digestion issues.
Bob's Red Mill Pearl Couscous we use pearl couscous for our jollof couscous, but it's delicious in summer salads in place of your traditional pasta shape and perfect to take to the next BBQ.
Ahmad cardamom black tea because once you try your tea with cardamom in it, you'll never go back! PLUS drinking cardamom tea regularly can help improve blood circulation, reduce high blood pressure, inflammation, and the risk of cardiovascular diseases. We serve this tea in the restaurant and our guests LOVE it.
Watkins Orange Bitters because it's a good one and we are forever looking for a deal on bitters. WHY are bitters always SO expensive!
What else are we buying tomorrow, y'all?? My shopping cart is looking kind of empty and I'm looking to fill her up!!
